(Posted by: Tinger) Quite a weekend at
the Johnson's Motorsports Freestyle Compound. Sunday started out
as a landing building/groomer testing party and turned into a huck
fest. Not the normal huck fest of huge tricks, but an early era
sleds huck fest. The huck of the day was Shane "Clutch's Kid"
buttering the landing on his 1992 Arctic Cat Ltd edition purple
hooded EXT. (Wanted: rear heat exchanger for 1992 Arctic Cat Ltd
Edition purple hooded EXT). I would like to thank Steve for letting
me hit the ramp on his Phazer. I really like how those Phazers handle
15 feet in the air.
Monday Madness.....I called up some rookies who had been talking
trash. The Local 715 Riders Union; Junk Show and CP showed up with
some attitude. These boys were buttering the landing like P-Guts
butters his Country Kitchen Pancakes. Midwest Division, rolling
the pretty sleds, were not to be out done. Sunshine tamed the ramp
after riding his REV (with the REAL red panels) since only the day
before. Too Fast Too Furious showed up on a factory sticker equipped
Sno Pro and reminded me of Heather Frisby with his style. Oh, and
Big Al was there punishing his rev with 329 pounds of sled tweaking
skill.
If you're in the Western U.P., check out Johnson's Motorsports in
Bessemer. They are a full service shop that carries EXCON Freeride
Gear and is the home of our winter ramp compound.
